Wayfinding Artesis Plantijn + APp
Artesis Plantijn University Antwerp recently opened two brand new campus buildings. An efficient and good looking wayfinding system is thus essential. The main campus has a unique, waffle-like facade, that is incorporated in the new wayfinding system.
APp is a newly designed app that helps students and teachers throughout their day. The new wayfinding system is integrated in APp, making sure everyone easily gets where they need to be.

The Waffle facade
The most recognizable visual element of the Artesis Plantijn University... the "waffle facade" of the building. It is the element that immediately catches the eye when someone approaches the building. In order to develop a visual thread within the building, we incorporate this remarkable landmark in the new wayfinding system. The grid becomes not only a recognizable visual element but also a functional tool to realize the wayfinding system of Artesis Plantijn University College.

The new wayfinding system is modular. It uses several individual signs, which can be attachedto the waffle-grid with a click system. In this way, the wayfinding can be easily adjusted if necessary.

APp - integrated indoor wayfinding
APp is the new central platfrom for students and teachers from the Artesis Plantijn university. The app provides its users with the most important information, mails and schedules.
Another feature in the app is wayfinding. Using GPS-technology from your smartphone and Google Maps Indoor, users can easily find their way through campus.
Antwerp You’re My Type - Typo Totemps
The brief for this project was to develop a digital solution (for large screens) that lays out the many different connections bewteen typography and the city of Antwerp. The proposed solution are the ‘Typototems’.
7 Large letters are strategically placed around typographically-interesting places, forming the letters ANTWERP. Each of the letters has a large built-in touchscreen where users can learn about typography in Antwerp for that specific location.
